With profound respect and enduring love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Shoow Jiuan Swei, a woman whose strength, grace, and unwavering devotion touched all who knew her.
Born on January 3, 1940, in South Korea to Jian- Yun Kang and Chen-Ching Maa, Shoow Jiuan grew up with a deep appreciation for family, and the simple joys of life. Her love for babysitting and taking care of little ones, especially her own grandchildren gave her great joy among other favorites she enjoyed cooking and planting vegetables was more than a pastime—it was an expression of care and connection, nourishing both body and soul.
In 1962, she married Deh-Chyh Swei. Together, they built a family, and she made the bold decision to move to America, driven by a selfless desire to provide her family with greater opportunities and a better life. Her biggest reward was when She became a Christian in her 40s.
Throughout her journey, Shoow Jiuan faced numerous health challenges, yet she met each one with remarkable strength and perseverance. Her resilience was a testament to her character—quietly powerful, deeply faithful, and endlessly loving.
Shoow Jiuan was truly blessed to live a long and meaningful life, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of God. Her legacy continues through her three devoted children, six cherished grandsons, and five beloved granddaughters.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
