Shu Chuen Ha's Obituary
Shu (Chuen) Ha, 84 years of age, passed away unexpectedly from postsurgical complications at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas on October 25, 2020.
Shu was born to Hing Choi Ha and Lin Lai on January 17, 1936 in Hong Kong. Losing his father when he was a teenager, Shu was raised single handedly by his mother. He was married to Choi Ha and had 4 children together. In 1979, the family immigrated to the United States and resided in Queens, New York for several years, eventually moving to Dallas, Texas, where he called home. Shu was a kind and gentle man, always wearing his signature smile on his face. He had a thirst for knowledge, read constantly and loved to share his thoughts with others. Despite his humble beginning, Shu was content with what little he had, and was always thankful that he could live out the American dream. As a result, he loved to help those who were in need, especially the downtrodden ones, so that they could also make a better life for themselves.
Shu is survived by his wife Choi Ha, his two sons Humphrey Ha (wife Grace) and Stephen Ha (wife Winnie), his two daughters Judy Kwong (husband Ben Kwong) and Katherine Ha, as well as 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
