WILKERSON, SIDNEY PAUL born October 3, 1932 in Shawnee, Oklahoma has passed away December 28, 2012 in Rowlett, Texas.born in Shawnee Oklahoma on October 3, 1932, and went to be with the Lord on 12-28-2012 after a short battle with cancer. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Lucy Cable Wilkerson, 7 brothers and 1 sister. Paul loved and served the Lord, his country and family. He served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict, and moved to Dallas soon after to begin working for Collins Radio. Paul remained with the company when it was bought by Rockwell International, and eventually Alcatel. He retired in 1991 after 40 years with those companies. Paul enjoyed working on his farm, and continued to do so until a short time before his death. Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol; 2 sons and 1 daughter and their spouses: Phillip and Mandy, Timothy and Jaime, and Angela and Scott Davis; 12 grandchildren; Addison, Meredith, Kara, Kaci, Haley, Talon, Sydney, Cody, Scott and his wife Ashley, Jack, Brady, and Abigail; and 2 great grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Saturn Road Church of Christ located at 3030 Saturn Road, Garland, Texas 75041.
