Sigrid "Siggi" Gatzke, born on March 27, 1937, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024. Siggi was a beacon of love and service, known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to her faith and family.
A devout Catholic, Siggi was a cherished member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, Texas. Her life was a testament to selflessness and generosity, always making time for those she loved and embodying the true spirit of giving.
Siggi's passions were as diverse as they were profound. She found joy in gardening, creating beauty and tranquility in her surroundings. She was a dedicated homemaker, and her career included dedicated service at Luby's and the distinction of working at the first Jewish-owned delicatessen. In her free time, she practiced marksmanship, showcasing her unique blend of grace and precision.
Siggi was known for her fun-loving nature, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew her. On May 20, 1965, she married Eberhard "Hardy" Gatzke, CCM, in Fort Worth, Texas. Hardy was a hardworking, dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Siggi's legacy is one of love, service, and joy. She leaves behind a community of friends and family who will forever remember her as a giver, a nurturer, and a beloved friend. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She leaves behind her son Gregory Gatzke and his wife Lorena of Corinth, Texas as well as her Grandson and his Family.
