Geneva Sinclair Watts' Obituary
WATTS, GENEVA SINCLAIR was born at home on February 17, 1930 near Bangs, Texas. She was the youngest sibling in a family of one boy and three girls. As she grew older, Geneva took piano lessons and later played trumpet in the Bangs High School Band. She always enjoyed singing, especially the hymns of the faith. Geneva liked home economics classes which prepared her to be a lifelong wife, mother, and homemaker. In 1946, Geneva met a young man named Marshall. Marshall pursued her, and the romance blossomed. The very young couple decided to elope, and were married by a Justice of the Peace in Brownwood, Texas on February 7, 1947. In March of 1948 their daughter Sandra was born and their son Tom arrived in November 1949. Geneva loved making her home pretty. She was a great decorator. Geneva liked to cook and was a very talented cook. She also enjoyed gardening and grew vegetables and pretty flowers. She was a member of the Richardson Garden Club for many years and she made good friends there. She also attended Book Review Club which was the source of more good friends. Geneva devoted herself to Bible studies and participated in community, neighborhood, and church fellowships. Her two churches, Grace Bible Church and Plano Bible Chapel, brought her great teaching, growth, and warm friendships. Geneva took great pleasure in being a grandmother. Laura and Stephen Mooney made her life fun, and Geneva was a super grandmother. It was very hard for Geneva to leave her home in Richardson. Frequent falls made it impossible for her to stay alone. Now she is safely in a new home with the Lord she loves. Geneva is survived by her son, Tommy Watts; daughter, Sandra Mooney; two grandchildren, Laura Mooney, Stephen Mooney; two great-grandchildren, Shaleigh Jordan and Scarlet Mooney. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Plano Bible Chapel.
