SJ Lewis' Obituary
SJ Lewis, 83, born December 4, 1933 in Magazine, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his home in Carrollton, Texas. SJ is preceded in death by his parents R.J. Lewis and Lucy Lewis, 3 brothers; Robert Aubrey of Enid, Oklahoma, Billywade Lewis of Harrah, Oklahoma and James Harold Lewis of Magazine, Arkansas. SJ is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Annie Lou Lewis, son; Robert Lewis and wife Carletta of Carrollton, Texas, Tim Lewis and Wife Jerri of Carrollton, Texas, granddaughter; Mary Louise Lewis and her boyfriend Joey Hreha and grandson Matthew Jake Lewis. SJ was deeply in love with his wife of 64 years, Annie Lou and his family. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He was a soccer coach for his sons. Served in the Marine Corp. during the Korean War, Semper Fi. He worked for Inland Container in Carrollton for 36 years as a shipping engineer and foreman. He loved spending time with family, working in the yard, fishing and building bluebird houses. All his nieces and nephews knew him as Uncle Jake. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 12 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
