Slate McKinley Doughty's Obituary
Slate McKinley Doughty was born on June 2, 2022 in Dallas, TX to parents Allyson and Taylor Doughty. Slate fought a strong fight for 100 days but on September 10, 2022 the fight was too much and God called him home. He was the perfect little boy and is loved by so many more than he will ever know. He was a favorite among his NICU nurses at Medical City of Dallas and is just as popular in heaven with his great grandparents who we know are holding him tight. He is proceeded in death by great grandparents Lanny Dale and Beverly Kay Edwards, Blaine McKinley Taylor and George Edward Doughty. He is survived by parents Allyson and Taylor Doughty, Grandparents Sheila Rogers Edwards and Lanny Edwards, Judith and Sean Doughty, Great-Grandparents, Shirley and John Rogers, Bertha Taylor, and Barbara Doughty, Aunts and Uncles Martin and Amanda Edwards, Tucker Doughty, Jacquelyn and Dru Mayfield, and Jillian Doughty, cousins Eston Edwards and Myles Mayfield, numerous other great aunts and uncles and other loved ones. The viewing for Slate will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17th from 5-7pm and funeral services at Inspiration Church on Sunday, September 18th at 2:30pm with a family graveside service to follow.
At the request of the parents, please wear color to celebrate the life of Slate. We may mourn the loss of him on earth, but we celebrate the time we spent with him.
