Sofia Konougres Kartsotis' Obituary
Born October 31, 1923 in Trinidad, Colorado to Fanne and George Konougres. Sofia Konougres Kartsotis passed away at home Thursday evening, October 1, 2009 surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband, Bill (Vasilios) Kartsotis, and her children and their families: Kathy Elliott, George Kartsotis, Kosta Kartsotis, Tom and Lynne Kartsotis, Mary Beth and Kevin Cook, and Roger Parsons. Her daughter Ann Kartsotis Parsons preceded her in death. Mrs. Kartsotis’ family was the joy of her life and she relished every special moment with them. She had a special place in her heart for each of her five grandchildren: Jill Sones, Justin Elliott, Jennifer Morse, Annie Kartsotis, and Jack Kartsotis. She is also survived by her brother in law, Bob Ruley, her nieces and their families, Robin Rotolo and Laura Speer, and one nephew Paul Moyer. Sofia was also preceded in death by her parents, Fanne and George Konougres and her sisters, Esther Konougres, Anne Ruley, and Helyn Moyer. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Kartsotis requested donations be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, a charity of your choice, or do something special for an incredible mother in your world. Funeral arrangements are pending with Restland Funeral home. As per Mom’s request, a private service will be held with her family.
