Sophia Hsiu Chuan Chang's Obituary
Sophia (Yi Teh) Hsiu Chuan Chang, 93, passed away August 11, 2021, in Dallas, TX. She was born to the late Sun Bo Yu and Sun Wang Rui Chen on May 21, 1928, in Yuyao, Zhejiang, China. She gloriously set an example of faithful wife, caring great-grandmother and mother in her more than 90 years with us; not to mention a great cook and baker. Amazingly, she amassed the funds to finance the college educations of her sons in the US. She confidently upheld the standards that Chinese culture seeks from its feminine cohorts. Sophia first came to the US in 1978 and happily lived in Dallas County since 1983.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bing Teh.
Sophia is survived by her sons, Kochen Chang and Komin Chang; brothers, Loo Teh, and Li Teh; sisters, Shu Teh (Li Chuan), Chuen Teh (Chow Chuan), and Lin Teh (Yiu Chuan); grandchildren, Alicia Chang, Nicholas Chang, Vivian Chang, and Stephanie Chang; as well as great-grandchildren, Ethan Chang, Simone Chang, and Audrey Chang.
She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
