Mrs Sophie Patricia Paris' Obituary
PARIS, SOPHIE PATRICIA, wife of the late Michael Paris, died at her home surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the age of 91. She was born on November 26, 1916 in Holyoke, Massachusetts and after marring the love of her life in 1942, lived in Springfield, Massachusetts until moving to Dallas in 1976 to be near their only child, Carol Seay and her family. A devoted wife of 65 years and mother, she cherished her grandson, Michael Charles Seay, and will always be remembered as a kind and loving woman. She extended her warmth to her church and was active in the Daughters of Penelope and Philoptochos Society of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to her daughter and grandson, she is survived by adoring nieces and nephews and the two special angels in her life, Elaine Glover and Dessa Jones. The family wishes to thank Julia, Pat, Karen and Mary who also provided loving care in these past years, as well as Dr. Lynne Kirk and Natalie Garry of UTSW and Heart to Heart Hospice. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UTSW-Sophie Paris Fund, P.O. Box 910888, Dallas, Texas, 75391-0888, the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or a charity of one’s choice. Always together in life, Sophie and Michael will be together in eternity.
