Sovola Joy Reavis' Obituary
Joy Reavis began her earthly journey in Cache, Texas on October 19, 1934. Her journey ended in grace and strength on October 21, 2015. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence J Mack and Alene Mack and her husband of 46 years David Hershel Reavis. She is survived by 2 sons, David Hershel Reavis Jr. and wife, Laurie, Thomas Newton Reavis and wife, Deborah; 4 daughters, Marsha Rene’ Everett and husband, Frank, Vicki Lynn Fisher, Susan Yvonne Bradley, Melinda Hathcock and husband, Michael. She was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Also surviving is Thomas M. Lane Jr., her cousin and companion and Ella Rosemond her best friend forever. Joy spent her life working hard, finding Joy in her family. The visitation for Joy Reavis will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services for Joy will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a graveside service. Reverend Danny Clyde Mack will officiate the service. The Eulogy will be given by her daughter, Melinda Hathcock. Paulbearers will be her grandsons, Chris Reavis, Ben Reavis, Logan Reavis, Cullen Reavis, John Meza, and Matthew Hathcock, honorary Paulbearer will be her grandson Josh Miller. You have earned your wings dear mother, soar high and finish this journey with your love. Go be with God in peace.
