Born January 23, 1921 in Hughes Springs, Texas; passed away May 1, 2009 in Winnsboro, Texas. Sowilla is survived by her husband, Czerny Newland; daughter, Ann Mills and husband T.R. ; two sons, Keith Newland and wife Kathy of Linda, TX and C.R. Newland III of Pineville, LA. She also has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
