Lorne came to Virginia to meet the extended Gates family many years ago. I remember how sweet a person he was. He truly loved his Grandma Ginny – he was he apple of her eye! When Aunt Ginny would visit she would give us reports on Lorne and his growing family. I wish I had had an opportunity to have gotten to know him better. Sad when family stretches across the country and we don't keep up. I know Aunt Ginny was waiting for him in heaven. God bless your family – may you have peace in the knowledge you will always be together again someday. – Allison Gates Krupp, daughter of Ronald Gates.
There is not much that can be said to soften your grief. He is in a better place and sometimes the Lord allows the Good to move on before we would like them to. My prayers are with you and your family…A Retired LASD Deputy.
You probably won't remember me, I am Pam Buckingham's mother, and I am sure we have met a few times at the farm in Meridian. My heart breaks for the pain and loss you are going thru. I want to say that I have been lifting you and your family in my prayers and will continue. We lost my husband to a gunman in 1989 so I can feel some of your pain. May God Bless you and keep you strong in the days to come. With Love, Glinda & Jimmy Jones Waco, TX

I worked with Loren at LNX. I rember walking into dispatch one night. Loren was sitting at the dispatch terminal, leaning back in his chair. His face was red and somewhat swollen and his knuckles where red. I asked him "what happen?" He said "Tack was teaching me how to box". I told it "looked more like you were his practice bag". I honored and privileged to have worked with him. God's Love to your family.
