Stacy Michele Breunig's Obituary
Stacy Michele Breunig passed away on March 18, 2022 after a tough battle with cancer. Born August 6th, 1959, in Wahoo, NE. to parents Eugene Breunig (1930-2014) and Berneta Breunig (Nelson). Beloved sister of Diane Rezac, Gloria Klug, Leslie McDonald, Steve Breunig, and Amy Teter. She is survived by her loving children Melissa Wozniak and Andrew Wegner, and grandchildren Wattson, Charlotte and Alyssa.
Stacy had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh! Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to say the most shocking thing she could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. She made her whole family laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions, and all her silly sayings. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She believed in autonomy and dignity and a person’s right to choose the life they wanted. She loved tough and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them.
She had an incredible career in the medical field from all aspects of nursing, to helping women and their babies, and eventually guiding others with her great experience. Her love of this field resonated with all those around her so much that it created some of her best friendships.
Our hearts are broken by this loss, but we are happy her suffering is over. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was a blessing.
A celebration of Stacy's life will be held 10:00AM, April 1, 2022 at The Wildwood Chapel, located at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas 75243.
