Stella Ruth Ellis' Obituary
Stella Ellis was born on May 27, 1928 to parents Ellis and Mary Holloway Logan in Cleburne, TX. She passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 97, after being hospitalized for pneumonia. Stella grew up in a big family in Cleburne and married the love of her life and proud marine, Bill Ellis in August of 1947. Stella and Bill moved to Dallas where they lived many years while both worked for Central Freight Lines. Stella also worked for years for Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) before moving to the Waco area. After retirement they returned to the Dallas area where they both were big fans of the Dallas Cowboys.
Stella and Bill had one daughter, Linda, of whom they were very proud. Stella made many friends wherever she went and enjoyed traveling. Stella and Bill enjoyed living in Plano at the Conservatory where she also made many friends. Stella is survived by many nieces and nephews who love her. She was preceded in death by both her husband, Bill, and her daughter, Linda.
Graveside ceremony will be held in the Rock Garden at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
