Stella Merle Jones' Obituary
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15Known to her family as Stella/Mutt/StelloStella was born in 1925 to Tom Jones and Golda Greaves, in Greenville, Texas. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1942. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Raymond and sister Nadine Jones Hulsey.Stella worked for almost 30 years at American Airlines in Reservations, starting when it was still a fairly small airline. She retired in 1982 and was retired more years than she worked.She leaves behind her brother, Tom Jones and family; Niece Coye Jones Nelson and family; niece Karen Ferguson and family; nephew Jon Hulsey and family; Sue Taylor Spencer and family. There are two special namesakes; Estella Lee Call and newborn Jones Taylor Spencer. Stella’s extended family; dearly loved long time American Airlines family; and her Oak Haven United Methodist Church family. Stella loved her Church and was a very active member. And a multitude of other dear friends.Now there is a new Saint in the sight of the Lord.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Oak Haven United Methodist Church, Genesis Women’s Shelter or the charity of your choice.A Memorial Service is scheduled for August 18th in Restland ‘s Wildwood Chapel at 1 o’clock.
