Stephanie Christine Shaw Smith's Obituary
Richardson, TX – Stephanie Christine Shaw Smith, 34, went to be with angels on May 4, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with depression. She is survived by her parents, Debra and Robert Langford of Elgin, OK, and R. Howard Shaw, Jr. of Keller, TX, Brother, Justin H. Shaw (Zachary) of Ardmore, OK, Grandmother, Joyce A. Tucker of Covington, VA, Grandfather, Wayne M. Sweeney (Kathy) of Chesapeake, VA, her beloved Collie, Chloe, as well as, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Stephanie was born in Norfolk, Virginia and resided in Virginia Beach, VA until moving to Germany in 2000. Stephanie was a 2001 graduate of Hohenfels High School in Germany, and was working as an apartment manager at Lincoln Properties at the time of her death. She also attended Tallwood High School and Great Bridge High School before moving to Germany. She was pursuing a degree in Social Work and hoped to become a counselor. Stephanie had a heart of gold, and a smile that could light up a room. Stephanie loved helping others, and touched the lives of so many. She devoted her life to taking care of others, and due to her kindness the world is a better place. There will be a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or any animal shelter.
