Stephen Jerry Barrett's Obituary
Born March 13, 1950 in Danville, KY and passed away December 20, 2008 in Dallas, TX. Jerry graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree from SMU. He spent 26 years in the music industry with the Warner/Electra/Atlantic Corp. before working as the General Manager and Director of Special Events for the West Texas Canton Amphitheater. In 2004, he completed his teaching certificate at UT Tyler. After earning his teaching certificate, Jerry served many school districts including Kilgore, Longview, and most recently Dallas and Richardson. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, BeBe Barrett, and his father, Sid Barrett. He is survived by his mother, Crystal C. Barrett; brother, Joe Barrett and his wife Betsy; nephews, Sam and Jess and niece, Whitney. Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2008 in Restland Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 John W. Carpenter Fwy., Dallas, TX 75247 or charity of your choice.
