Stephen Edward Brin's Obituary
BRIN, STEPHEN EDWARD, born September 18, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Gordon and Betty Brin; passed away on May 22, 2014 in Arlington, Texas. Steve grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1963 before earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University where Steve was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. A devoted husband and loving father, Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Hendrix Brin; children, Greg and Todd Brin; daughters-in-law, Ingrid and Nicole Brin and grandchildren, Nora, Nolan, Henry and Abigail Brin. Steve will also be dearly missed by the other members of this close-knit family, including sisters, Barbara Seabolt and Beverly Brin; uncle, Bill Daily, brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Diana Hendrix; nephew, Scott Hendrix; nieces, Melanie Henning and Bree Peart and all of their respective families. Steve’s commitment to friends and family was as strong as his unquestionable integrity. A longtime sports fan, Steve’s passions were rounded out by his love for family, good laughs, relaxed conversation, a strong handshake and a balanced checkbook ledger. In all regards, Steve was the consummate “people person” – a voracious conversationalist who approached each interaction with both old and new acquaintances as an opportunity to give and to receive in equal measure. Having the opportunity to reconnect with many old friends at a recent high school renunion was of particular importance to him. Steve’s unwavering ability to deliver a contagious smile at either the best or the worst of times will be deeply missed. He will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 directly following a 12:30 pm service at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
