Stephen James Bruner's Obituary
Stephen James “Steve” Bruner was born on December 26, 1957 in Oelwein, IA and passed away on January 26, 2016 in Fort Worth, TX. Steve graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas and shortly thereafter married his first wife of 19 years, Connie Spencer. They had two children, Sharon and Stephen. Steve later married Susan Arnold and they were together for 20 years. A lifelong trucker, Steve worked for numerous companies throughout his life, including a stint as the owner-operator of his own trucking company. Out of the truck, Steve enjoyed camping, grilling, games, sitting by the fire, and spending time with family and friends. Steve was well known for his big heart and generous spirit. It is often said that he had never met a stranger and would help anyone. He will be dearly missed. Steve is survived by daughter Sharon Bruner, son Stephen Bruner II, mother Rosalia Bruner, and siblings Rose Melville, Ellen Maynard, Paul Bruner, Michael Bruner, and Marty Bruner. Preceding him in death are father Paul Bruner, and brothers John Bruner and Ed Bruner. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
