I was Mr. Whicker's neighbor in Dallas, Tx. I lived two houses down from him and Marcia. I was just a silly high school kid, but Mr. Whicker mentored me in mechanics, metallurgy, welding, and exploring southwest Colorado. I still have tools he helped me make and I use his knowledge he past on to me. What a wonderful man and friend. I hope he is riding his Bultaco motorcycles and driving his CJ5 with the Desert Dueler tires. It was fantastic knowing him. I think about him a lot.
I worked with Steve for a lot of years at TI , God bless him and his family, I will Miss him terribly,
I have known Steve for many, many years but have moved up to Oklahoma in 2012, leaving a lot of memories in Texas. I had a great working relationship with Steve at T.I., Raytheon, and then DRS. I am so sadden to hear of his passing. He was such a very kind person and I know he will be missed dearly. Cora Fletcher
Steve was a quiet man, as I knew him. He loved Charlynn and her family. He was an incredible man who will be missed so much. May God richly bless his loved ones during these days of mourning.

Steve was my hiring supervisor and mentored me right out of school at TI. I learned a lot about practical engineering and leading others from him in those early years. He also took me under his wing in fun activities outside of work as I was new to the area–many years of visiting the southwestern Colorado area for motorcycle trail riding followed! I think fondly of Steve and those times. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of loss. Bob Owen
