Stephen Nagy's Obituary
Stephen Nagy, 85, of Garland Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughter on October 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with lung cancer, Stephen was born May 30, 1934 in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. In 1952, he started working at Edgar Thompson Steel in the open hearth. In 1957, he joined United States Marine Corps; he was on the USS Boston. In 1961, he came to visit his brothers in Texas and got a job at Oil Well in Garland where he was a machinist for 39 years. In 1962, he met his wife Mary Lou from Pennsylvania and in 1965 they got married and moved to Garland to live, in October of 1966 there daughter Kimberly was born.He enjoyed going to the hunting camp with his brothers and hunting buddies and vacationing in their summer home in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Mary Lou Nagy, daughter Kimberly Nagy Reyes, son-in-law Victor Reyes, grandson Stevin Reyes and lots of nieces, nephew and many dear friends.Stephen is predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary (Kukla) Nagy and brothers and sisters Mary (Nagy) Orris, John Nagy, Anna (Nagy) Zeback, Vilma (Nagy) Pernick, Mildred (Nagy) Piotrowsky, Peter Nagy, Elizabeth (Nagy) Demek, Andrew Nagy, Joseph Nagy, Edward Nagy.Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 (469)-925-1436.Funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery.
