Stephen Henry Squires Jr.'s Obituary
Born in Dallas on September 26, 1933 to parents Stephen Henry Squires and Chloe Ellen Bennett. Stephen passed away on February 20, 2009. He attended North Dallas High School, and he actively served in the Navy from 8/14/1956 to 7/8/1958. He was Head of Electrical Maintenance at Halliburton (OTIS) for 26 years, and was a member of Webb Chapel Church of Christ for 47 years. Stephen was a missionary to Canada in 1966, and was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 433. He was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy Lou Squires and brother James Squires. He is survived by his wife, Reeda (Culpepper) Squires; children: Stephen Lester Squires and his wife Betty, Michael David Squires and his wife Pamela, Vernon C. Davis, and Ariel Ilerne Gilchrest and husband Eddie Parrish; grandchildren: John Scott Cunningham, Stephanie Squires, Courtney Leigh Squires, and Erica L. Gilchrest; sister, Elizabeth O’Brien; and stepfather Richard Bowden. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Monday February 23, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 10AM Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
