Steven Don McHan's Obituary
Steven McHan, 63, passed away on Tuesday, April 16th at Christian Care Center in Mesquite, Texas. Steven was born April 16, 1961, in Abilene, Texas to W.C. McHan and Lue Edington McHan. Steven attended Bryan Adams High School in Dallas and later graduated from Hardin Simmons University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies. Steven was a long-time resident of Dallas and was employed by First Baptist Church of Richardson, Letot Center of Dallas County and then self-employed, working alongside his father in several small businesses.
Steven was a member of Casa View Baptist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed participating and volunteering at the church and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, Rangers and Mavericks. Family and family activities were his favorite pastime and he especially loved family reunions at the lake. Steven was friendly and incredibly outgoing and there was not a conversation he would ever pass up. His positive energy was one of his most endearing qualities and one of the reasons he was so adored.
Steven is survived by his mother Lue McHan, sister Susan (spouse Kris), nieces Erin and Loren and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death is his father W.C. McHan.
Friends may call from 10am (CST) Visitation, until the time of Funeral 11am (CST) on Friday, April 26th at Casa View Baptist Church, 130 E Interstate 30 in Garland, Texas followed by a family lunch. Burial will be at 2pm at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas.
Memorial donations may be made in Steven's name to the Alzheimer's Association
