My dear Geldmeier family, There has never been a day of my 53yo life without knowing the beloved Geldmeier family. You were there the day I was born. I have such fond childhood memories with all of you. I will always consider Stephen as my best toddler childhood friend from playing house to climbing trees. I still have a simple letter he mailed to me when we were about 7yo. Sue and my Mom, Jan, seemed they were always in the kitchen or making a craft together. I have a small landscape painting hanging in my home I aquired 13 years ago when Mom passed … Geldmeier painted it for Mom over 50 years ago. I love the painting as it represents the beautiful friendship they had while raising their young families together. I recall years ago, as a young adult, when all of us got together. Dad and Beverly and of course Sue too, fixed the wild game for dinner that the men had hunted. We played pool and all laughed together over "old" family stories … I think Gary won the game. Most recently is the precious memory of Henry and Sue coming to visit my Dad by his bedside before he passed. I loved hearing from Sue with what each of you were involved with in life and all about her grandchildren. So many sweet "Geldmeier / Griffin" family memories I will always cherish. It saddens my heart that I was not able to find out about Sue before now. I would have been there last Wed. She was a beautiful spirit filled with a heart for always giving of herself for others. As a child, I was one of those who benifited from her caring ways. I will keep each of you in my prayers. Tenderly Loving, Barbie Griffin Horner
