Sue Akin Riddle's Obituary
Sue A. Riddle, of Frisco, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in Carrollton, TX.
She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born on 4/20/1936 in Wylie, TX to John W. Akin and Shellye Smith Akin.
Sue accomplished much in her life after leaving Wylie for her first job at Magnolia Oil in Dallas in 1956; travelling the world with her mother, and later her husband and daughter; living in different parts of the country, and discovering her passion for genealogy while tracing her first ancestor in America back to 1682.
She was a proud member of such organizations as ‘Founders and Patriots’, ‘Daughters of the American Revolution’ and ‘Daughters of the Confederacy’.
Sue is survived by husband John A. Riddle of Frisco, TX; son, Scott Riddle of Bedford, TX and daughter Lori Arcayna of Frisco, TX; daughter-in-law Mary Koz-Riddle of Bedford, TX and granddaughters Taryn Riddle, Caitlin Riddle and Ella Riddle also of Bedford, TX; son-in-law Robert Arcayna and grandson Samuel Arcayna also of Frisco, TX.
Interment will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Oaks School in Arlington, TX.
