Aunt Sue will truly be missed! She was always thoughtful, kind, and classy. To know her was to love her. Sue and Scott traveled to Oregon to surprise her brother for his birthday in 2016, it made his birthday so special spending it with his baby sister. She always called and checked on her brother, such a beautiful soul inside and out. Sending thoughts and prayers to her family at this sad time.

My sincere and deepest condolences to the family and friends of dear Sue Smith. I’ve known and worked with her for over 30 years. She was so kind and caring with a heart of gold. Always willing to help other putting their needs before hers. I had the pleasure of working with her at Marshall Fields, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. She was a ray of sunshine to the lives she touched. The world was a better place because it had Sue Smith. I was a better person having her as my friend.she will be greatly missed yet always fondly remembered.

I wonder just how many people who met Sue, truly understood and appreciated the depth within her rich soul. I am truly blessed to have been the recipient of numerous beautiful note cards with Sue's own handwritten thoughtfulness and often times, she would send a clipping of newspaper article which she knew I would appreciate. She would call me to make sure my home and I were ok whenever there was a tornado in the area in which I live. She was always interested in me and wanted to know what crazy or happy event was going on in my life. She always gave love, encouragement and the most lovely smile. I am grateful to have known Ms. Sue for many years. She was a rare gem, a lady of distinguished classiness in dress. actions and in both written and spoken word. I work to emulate the actions, love, caring and joyful spirit Ms. Sue always showered over me, that I may be to others what she was to me and all who came in to her world. I met Susie, that is what I used to call her, right after she lost her life long partner, referred to by Scott to take care of her taxes. Although she was fighting her enormous loss I could never know from her constant smile and bubbly personality.
She was one of a kind woman, very proud, with acute sense of humor, decent and extremely giving. She would buy gifts for her customers with her own money to show them how much she appreciated their business while living with meager income of a widow. I meet all sorts of people in my profession, but I have yet to come across such a nice soul. I will miss her and world will miss her too.
