Sue D. Stevens' Obituary
WIFE•MOTHER•TEACHER
Sue Stevens was born November 6, 1934 in Winnsboro, Texas to William “Cooter” Douglass and Essie Dee Ross Douglass. She graduated Winnsboro High School and moved to Dallas soon after. On Valentine’s Day, 1958, she wed Nicholas E. Stevens II. They were married until his death in August of 1997. They raised three children, Kelly, Nicholas III, and Stacy in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. Sue taught elementary school for 28 years at Springridge Elementary in the Richardson school district. During her years of teaching, Sue obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. Sue is survived by her children, Kelly Stevens White of Dallas, Nicholas Stevens, III and wife, Shelly of Canton, Texas, and Stacy Stevens Ramirez and husband, Ray. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Sue passed away quietly in her sleep on April 25, 2026. Sue will be laid to rest beside her husband, Nicholas II, in Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
