Sunny Joyce Brewer Adams' Obituary
ADAMS, SUNNY JOYCE BREWER was born on October 12, 1938 passed away on May 23, 2013 at the tender young age of 74. Sunny was born in Venus Texas to L.T. and Alyne Brewer and grew up in Arlington, Texas graduating Arlington High School in 1957. She lived her life to the fullest and felt lucky to grow up in the 1950s with so many great friends. Sunny worked for E-Systems and retired in 1970. Again she formed many long and wonderful friendships throughout her years associated with E-Systems. She sold furs for several years and started her own antique business in 1996. Sunny was a well travelled and well read lady and loved to do both. Hawaii and Paris were her favorite places to visit. Sunny’s love of family has always been apparent through her generosity, advice, and love. She donated time and money to many charitable causes and was especially fond of the SPCA and all veteran/military charities. Her patriotism and love of this country was immense. She was predeceased by her mother and father, her husband Eaton Adams Jr. and her sister Shirley Butler. She is survived by her son J. B. Griffin and his wife Lisa, her grandkids Levi Griffin, Stephanie Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Alisa Green and her husband Nick, Sam Lukenbach, Max Lukenbach, as well as her great grandkids Austin Price and Madilyn Green. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was a great inspiration in my life and was a great mom as well as my friend. We will all miss her very much but we know she will be in a better place after many years battling emphysema and COPD. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas, Texas. Sunny will be laid to rest beside Eaton on following the service at Restland Memorial Park. She wishes are that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Arlington ISD Education.
