She loved travel and worked in tour administration at Imperial Travel; along with a love for art which took her to working at the Dallas Museum for a period as well. She yearned for knowledge and loved to learn all the world had to teach her. And in return she served in kindness, and love to the planet and everything and everyone on it. Sunny enjoyed activities such as Ikebana Japanese flower arranging, where she was a long time member of Ikebana International, Chinese brush painting, gardening, and enjoyed studying history.
Sunny’s desire to travel took her all over the globe. She especially loved her travels to China, Nepal, Greece, and Turkey and enjoyed studying their cultures and ancient world history’s. Sunny Rhodes will be missed by all. Her smile and unencumbered joy was infectious while her wit and manner was absolutely golden. If any name was a sure fit, Sunny was it. Sunny was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Jackie. She is survived by her godchild Jessica Roselius, and her cousins Margie Sue Elder, Jerry Gray, Mike Brashear, Linda Gray Carlisle, and Becky Phipps.
