She was born October 27th, 1945 to Sterling and Angeline Movold in Detroit, Michigan. She met and married the love of her life, John Van Brunt in 1967. Her childhood home was on the route he worked as a local paper boy. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, however they actually “went steady” since she was 15. She created a beautiful family with the addition of their daughters Amy & Lyndsay. Additionally, they founded Label Systems, Inc. She windsurfed every year in Mexico – even just this past Christmas. Some of the things that she was most proud of included being the Queen’s Quest Chairman at Stonebriar Country Club, where she initiated the Green Jacket award for all the club Champions. In addition to serving on the Golf Committee, she was certainly the “hostess with the most-est.” She planned the most spectacular parties, vacations and holiday gatherings for the family . Highlights of those included the annual Van Brunt 4th of July extravaganza , Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, birthdays and more. Her favorite family tradition was hanging the crystal family ornaments on the tree while sharing special memories of all family members in heaven and on earth. The highlight of her life was being a devoted wife, mother and friend to all whom she met. She was most proud of her daughters. Her greatest achievement was seeing the impact her mothering had on the individuals Amy & Lyndsay have become personally and professionally. Susan had the unique quality of impacting the lives of everyone she met in a positive and loving way. To know her was to love her. Her sense of humor was widespread and her smile contagious. She was the rock of our family, the glue that held everything together and the model of what a wife, mother, sister and friend should be. Her mom was a “Super Gal” and she will forever be our “Super Lady.” The visitation will be on Friday, February 9th from 1:30-3:30, Rosary 3:30-4pm, Mass will be 12:30PM on Saturday, February 10, at Saint Mark’s Catholic Church.
