Susan Hatfield Wheelis' Obituary
Susan Hatfield Wheelis, age 54, went to be with the Lord and her beloved Father, George Hatfield on Monday August 5th. Susan was born in Fort Worth on August 24.1969, lived in Dallas and moved to Rockwall in the 2nd grade and joined Dobbs Elementary School. Susan loved swimming and horseback riding, doing gymnastics, and helping with the National Charity League. Susan graduated from Rockwall High and attended Eastfield College.
Susan was devoted to her family and to raising her two boys Ryan and Reed, and everyone who knew her knew she was a most giving beautiful soul.
Susan worked at Hatfield and Company for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mom/homemaker. She enjoyed taking her family to the beach in Alabama and Florida for yearly vacations, making the most wonderful memories. Susan also enjoyed ski vacations and a few cruises with her family as well.
Susan is preceded in death by her Father, George Hatfield. He was her rock, and she was his precious Bunny Bear. Susan is survived by her Mother Claudette Slaughter Hatfield, her two boys Ryan and Reed Wheelis, and her two brothers Todd and Greg and their families. Susan is also survived by her extended family Jessica Conaster and Kristy Tyler Stuckey. Susan had an everlasting love for her dogs Heidi, Harley, and Hootie and her cat Peaches.
Everyone who met Susan loved her. She touched a lot of hearts during her time here on earth. Susan believed in God and had received Jesus as her savior. God is receiving a wonderful human being. In leu of flowers Susan had two charities that were dear to her heart, Ronald McDonald House and the ASPCA.
A memorial service is to take place at Restland Wildwood chapel on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 at 10am with a Celebration of life to take place at 12:30 pm at 1 Shady Dale Ln, Rockwall, TX 75032
