Susye " Sue" F. Easter's Obituary
Susye “Sue” Faye Easter passed away on July 30, 2017. She was born on December 20, 1929, in Marfa, Texas. She was 87 years of age. Sue lived in Dallas, Texas for most of her life. She was a graduate of Crozier Technical High School. On May 15, 1948, she married James Harley Easter. She began her career in banking, working as a teller for Lockwood National Bank and for Texas Bank and Trust. On October 1, 1970, she went to work for Dallas County and worked as a cashier and later was a head cashier in the Tax Department. She retired from the County on October 29, 2004. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Ava Bayans; a sister, Nelda Ford; and brothers, Billy Joe Bayans and Ray Bayans. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James H. (Jim) Easter, Jr., and wife, Amy; grandchildren Kelly McCoy; Adam Chavoya; Rebecca Chavoya, and Ethan Chavoya; and great-grandchildren Mason Orona; Blake Gutierrez; Henry Chavoya; and Tessa Chavoya. Services will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home in staterooms C-D followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in the Valley View section at Restland Memorial Park. Dr. Michael Waco will officiate. To honor Sue’s great love of animals, memorials may be made to the Dallas Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Dallas Animal Shelter, your local animal shelter, or the animal protection agency of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
