Suzanne Hunsinger Preston's Obituary
Preston, Suzanne Hunsinger born February 17, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Mabel and Jacob Hunsinger, passed away into the arms of God to her heavenly home on April 21, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Suzanne was a long-time resident of Plano, Texas and is survived by her brother, Dick Hunsinger, her daughter, Katye Shields, her son, Patrick Preston II, her grandson, Jon Shields, her granddaughter, Kristen Shields, her niece, Melissa Fargo, her niece Cindy Schattle, her niece Monica Phillips, her niece Janie Pencek, her great nephews, Reece Schattle, Landon Schattle, and Nicholas Schattle, her great niece Melanie Schattle, her sweet and loyal dog Molly, and many loving friends. Suzanne graduated from Highland Park High School and the University of North Texas. Suzanne taught Kindergarten, then stayed home to raise her children. When her children were grown, she worked as a receptionist at Holmes Murphy. Suzanne was an active member of Hunter’s Glen Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in the Sonshiners Sunday School class. Suzanne battled cancer throughout the last 20 years of her life. Funeral services will be held at Hunter’s Glen Baptist Church on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Suzanne will be remembered for her smile, her sweet and loving nature, and her steadfast devotion to her family.
