Suzanne Stewart's Obituary
Suzanne Stewart, 78, passed away May 26, 2020 in Mansfield, TX. She was born May 13, 1942 to parents Ray and Ruth Scarbrough in Dallas, TX. Suzanne married Johnnie Stewart in Shreveport, LA.
Suzanne Stewart was a retired teacher with 25 years of public school experience from Plano ISD. While a teacher in Plano, Suzanne was recognized as Teacher of the Year for Saigling Elementary and had a day held in her honor for her accomplishments as a teacher by the City of Plano. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Richardson, TX where she served many years as organist and song in the choir. Suzanne was a devoted mother and grandmother and dedicated her retirement years to teaching young children to read including her two grandchildren Courtney and Brandon.
She is survived by husband Johnnie Stewart of Mansfield, TX., daughters Stephanie Stewart of Fort Worth, Texas, Julie Vowell of Mansfield, Texas, grandchildren Courtney Vowell and Brandon Vowell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Restland Funeral Home in the Memorial Chapel followed by a Burial.
