S.W. Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, S.W. ‘SHAY’ Born June 10, 1908 in Orleans, Indiana and passed away September 29, 2008. Shay moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Oklahoma City University. He moved to St. Louis, MO where he went to work for S.W. Bell Telephone and met and married his wife of 70 years, Edna. They moved to Dallas in April 1955 where he retired from S.W. Bell Telephone in 1973. He went to work for Duck Creek Golf Course, and later drove limousines until the age of 80. Shay was a member of the North Texas Senior Golf Association and was active in Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and DeMolay. He is survived by his two sons, Jim, and his wife, Debbie and David and his wife, Cathy, four grandchildren, three great granddaughters and one great great granddaughter. Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2008 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75230. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75230.
