Syble Jerry Newman's Obituary
Syble Jerry Huckabay Newman was born in Dallas, Texas June 18, 1941 & went to join the Lord November 14,2018. She attended O. M. Roberts Elementary where, to this day, her lifelong friends keep in touch with each other. Syble graduated from Hillcrest High School and married her true love since age 14, Lowell Wayne Newman, Sr. November 15th would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married 43 years until his death in 2001.She was a loving mother of 3 children, a fun MiMi to her grandchildren & a living legend to 3 great-grandchildren.After completing Secretarial School, a successful legal secretary and paralegal career was launched which lasted 35 years until her retirement in 2004.Syble was proceeded in death by: her parents Hazel Pauline and Herman Perry Huckabay; her brother, James Perry Huckabay; husband, Lowell Wayne Newman, Sr.; and her father-in-law, Lowell Newman.Surviving loved ones include: her daughter, Stephanie Newman and husband Richard Walters; her son, Lowell Newman and his wife Michelle; her daughter, Amy Bagwell and husband Lance; her grandchildren Jenny Larkin, Blair Briscoe, Bailey Burkhalter, Kelsey Newman, Nicholas Newman, Cole Walters, Geoff Walters, Zachary Thomas, Reagan Thomas, Connor Thomas and Jason Thomas; and her great-grandchildren Lillian Larkin, Jameson Briscoe & Corina Briscoe.“MiMi Jerry” was an inspiration, truly loved and will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.Services were held at Restland on November 17, 2018.
