Sylvester Owens' Obituary
Sylvester “Shagg” Owens 86, died on November 3, 2017 peacefully while asleep in his home in Dallas, TX. Shagg was a man of courage, character, loyalty and charm. He was known for his witty remarks, one liner’s and tall tales. He never shunned away from helping family members in need. His words may have been few but his support and love for his family and friends was plentiful. Those who knew him best will remember him as a protector and provider. Shaggs essence can’t be captured in simple words. A “gentle giant” full of love and compassion will never be forgotten and will always be missed.Viewing for Sylvester will be held at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243 on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.An additional viewing will be held one hour prior to Mr. Owens celebration of life service at 10:00 am. Sylvester’s celebration of life service will be on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00am at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship, 2801 E.
