Tamara Patton Jordan's Obituary
Tamara “Tammy” Patton Jordan, 76, passed peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023, with her daughter, Jennifer, by her side at Faith Hospice in Dallas, Texas.
Tammy was born in Mansfield, Ohio on February 14, 1947 to George and Grace Patton (Jeffries). A Valentine’s Day baby, she always celebrated her special day with a heart shaped chocolate cake.
As a young girl, her family relocated to Texas, and she graduated from Garland High School in 1965. Soon after, she began work at Texas Instruments, where she remained until retiring in 2006.
Tammy married the late Dennis Jordan in 1974 and welcomed daughter Jennifer two years later. Tammy was a devoted mother, loved sewing her daughter’s pointe shoes and creating the best Halloween costumes from scratch. She enjoyed a day at the museum, watching a ballet or musical, lunching with her friends, and reading a great history book. Her smile lit up any room and her warm and caring personality would put anyone at ease.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis and her parents, George and Grace Patton. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer “Gigi” Nieman of Virginia, spouse, Craig and four grandsons, Calvin, Isaac, Nicholas and Daniel; brothers, Roger and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Judes Children’s Hospital, World Central Kitchen or The Loomba Foundation.
