Tamas "Tomi" Olah's Obituary
OLAH, TAMAS “Tomi” born November 16, 1984 in Budapest, Hungary, passed away January 7, 2011 in Dallas/Plano, Texas. Tamas Olah was many things. He was a musician. A passionate artist who moved to a rhythm all his own. He loved mixing live shows at O’Riley’s Sports Bar and recording music whenever he had the chance. He was a Hungarian. He never lost touch with his roots, conversing with his family in his native tongue and making multiple trips back to his homeland. He was a patriot. His love for Hungary was equally matched with his love for America. He was forthright. If you earned his respect, he had no problem letting you know. And when he told you, you could tell he genuinely meant it. He was a sports fanatic. He grew up with the Cowboys in Valley Ranch. If there was a game on there’s a good chance you could find him watching it with friends at the local Applebee’s. He was a fashion guru. He wore designer labels and appreciated the finer things in life.He was a history buff. He’d never tire of watching documentaries on The History Channel. He was a selfless giver. Often taking the time to support those less fortunate than him by taking them to the grocery store to ensure they had the food they so desperately needed. He was a charmer. Those who knew him well know that it was nearly impossible to be angry with him.He was a believer. His faith was unshakeable, and he never feared death because he had a strong belief in God and the afterlife. He was a dreamer. Tamas wrote down his dream for us: “If you could build a better world, what would it look like? (Eulogy) Tamas was many things to many people.
