Tanya Thanh Nguyen's Obituary
Tanya Thanh Nguyen, 75, died on June 8, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Allen, Texas. Tanya was a beautiful, loving wife and devoted mother. An immigrant to the U.S. from Vietnam, she experienced firsthand the cruelty of war, but possessed the resilience to enjoy the best life can offer. Starting a new with young children in a foreign country, she nurtured a strong family, established a welcoming home, and built a successful 30-year career. Tanya was courageous, strong-willed, and selfless in raising and caring for those she loved. She touched many with her compassion, inner strength, warm cooking, and gentle singing. Tanya was a beautiful woman, unrivaled even by her beloved orchids. Her comforting presence will be dearly missed.Tanya was born to Chuyen That Ton and Cuong Thi Nguyen in Nam Dinh, Vietnam. She is survived by her husband, Tony C. Nguyen, whom she married in December 1975 in Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother, Trich That Ton of Saigon, Vietnam; her daughters, Thuy Le of Richmond, Texas and Diana Perry of Annapolis, Maryland; her sons, Tony H. Nguyen of Frisco, Texas and Steven Nguyen of Allen, Texas; and six beautiful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Thanh Van Nguyen.There will be a visitation from 10:30AM to 12:30PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home, all other services are private.
