Tasha McCord Cutter's Obituary
Tasha McCord Cutter, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter and sister was born on August 4, 1987 in Athens, Texas and passed from this life on May 25, 2025 at her residence in Lewisville surrounded by her loving family. She graduated from Christian Life Center in 2005 and was married to Matthew Cutter on May 9, 2015 in Tool, Texas where she was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Tool. Tasha was an avid fan of the Dallas Stars Hockey team, always cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm. Her love for the Stars was matched only by her passion for cooking, a tradition that she shared with her mother and grandmother, especially during the holidays. She is preceded in death by her grandfather’s Eldon Cox in 2022 and Don McCord in 2001. Her faith and family were central to her life and she will always be remembered for her kindness, warmth and joy she brought to those around her. Although she will be deeply missed, Tasha’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and her spirit will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew and loved her.
Tasha is survived by her husband Matthew Cutter of Lewisville, children Jaymie, Chandler and Colin; grandson Forrest, parents Stephen and Teresa McCord of Gulfport, Mississippi and Michael and Debra Cutter of Lewisville, sisters Magen Pross of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Amy Routon of Terrell, brothers Jamie McCord of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Joe McCord of Gulfport, Mississippi, grandparents Gwen Cox of Gulfport, Mississippi and Ann Hardin of Gulfport, Mississippi as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends and relatives.
