Ted E. Brogdon's Obituary
In his 90’s and legally blind, Ted Brogdon hit his 5th hole-in-one, and after announcing “That’s as good as it’s going to get”, he put away his golf clubs and retired with his wife, Vivian, in Harlingen, Texas. The first weekend in February, Ted enjoyed fried shrimp on South Padre and a margarita in Mexico with his daughter Cindy. Ted died February 5, 2009 in Harlingen. Born April 23, 1912 in Cushman, AR, he spent most of his life in Dallas, TX, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Ted is survived by his wife Vivian; daughter, Cindy (Wayne) Barginear; grandchildren, David Barginear, Kelley (Bryan) Medlock, and Terry (Michael) McAuley. Much loved were his great-grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Peyton and Emery. Other survivors are his stepchildren, Vicki Bernstein and Chuck (Diane) Bernstein. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 9, 2009 in Restland Memorial Park, with visitation in Restland Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:30 am, prior to the service.
