Teresita Villanueva Ignacio's Obituary
Teresita “Tessie” Villanueva Ignacio, a loving wife, beloved mother, dedicated nurse, and vibrant spirit, passed away on January 23, 2025, at 79 years old. She was born on July 6, 1945, in Poblacion, Dagami, Leyte, Philippines. She lived life with resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in every aspect of her life. Tessie found great joy in spending lots of time with her family and friends. From parties, to cruises with her cousins, to trips the Philippines and up to the casino in Oklahoma, she cherished every moment.
Tessie was preceded in death by her parents Eugenio Villanueva and Teresa Bayona, and her siblings Amelito, Joventino, Gregorio, and Lorenza.
Tessie is survived by her loving husband, Ricardo G. Ignacio, daughters Sarah [Angelo] Penuela, Vanity [Luke] Hoffman, grandsons Noah Trinh, Jaxon Hoffman, and siblings Severino, Bibiano, Jocelyn, Rosario, and Jun, countless other family members in the Philippines and here in the states that will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire those who knew her. In honoring her memory, we ask that you take a moment to appreciate the joys in life and importance of family, as she did.
Rest in peace, Tessie. Your spirit will forever shine in the lives you touched.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, 4pm Viewing, 6pm Prayer Service at Restland Funeral Home Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX. Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave, Dallas, TX 75214. Rite of Committal/Interment and Reception to follow at Restland Cemetary & Event Center 9220 Restland Rd, Dallas, TX 75243.
