Terrence M. Peake's Obituary
Terrence Merwin Peake passed away September 29, 2011. Terry was born on February 27, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa to Merwin and Allace Peake. After graduation from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he attended SMU, where he earned both a BBA and MBA. Terry spent his business career working as an industrial engineer at Republic Bank and later traveling worldwide for EDS. He was a longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, and served as District Commissioner of the White Buffalo District. Terry established the North Texas support group for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and led the group until last year. He was a faithful member of Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church. Terry was preceded in death by his wife Murel Lee Peake and his brother Timothy R. Peake. He is survived by his children Karen Dawson and husband Alan of Sugar Land and Christopher Peake of Dallas, as well as five grandchildren: Ben, Sam and Sydney Dawson of Sugar Land and Austin and Madison Peake of McKinney. Terry is also survived by longtime friend Charlotte Darrah.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church, 6445 E.
