Terri Dawn Caldwell's Obituary
Caldwell, Terri Dawn Born May 10, 1949 and passed on October 11, 2008 after a courageous year long battle with cancer. Preceded in death by loving parents, Jake and Grandis Addington, sustained in life by an enduring, loving marriage to Lee S. Caldwell for over 30 years that produced three strapping boys: Clark, Logan and Grant as well as the most recent addition of Clark’s wife, Trudi. Terri was a true North Dallas girl. She had one of the first Ford Mustangs that hit the road in 1964. After graduation from Thomas Jefferson in 1967, she traveled north to NTSU where she achieved a Master’s Degree in Public Education. She touched immeasurable lives through her pursuit as a primary school teacher within the DISD system for 33 years. A beloved teacher, she projected a true conciliatory spirit that transcended her personality with peers and students alike. It goes without saying that all that had the opportunity to make her acquaintance were touched by her kindred spirit. A life long love with God’s animal kingdom served her well into retirement. She became deeply involved with dog agility and herding competitions through Paws for Applause, Best Friends Fun Farm and Alamar Farms with three of her dogs. She established a faithful following of new friends and experiences as a result. A Celebration of Life service was held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, it would be Terri’s wish that friends consider donations to Operation Kindness. She will be deeply missed.
