Terry Dan Plunk's Obituary
Terry Dan Plunk of Dallas, Texas died April 6th. He was born October 4, 1957, in Dallas to Norma and Joe Dan Plunk. He attended George W. Truett, Gaston Middle School, and Bryan Adams High School. Class of 1976.Tennyson golf course, Lakewood Country Club and any other golf course in Dallas were his happy places.He loved his dart and bowling nights which always ended with a drive through Chick fil a or Keller’s Hamburgers. Eating healthy consisted of mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and chicken fried steak from Highland Park Cafeteria.Terry was a devoted employee of Transwestern where he was known as “Tool Time Terry”. He was dependable, trustworthy, and respected by everyone. If he couldn’t fix it, it probably wasn’t worth fixing.A house with a garage, a big black dog named Frank, a black Tahoe, and a fancy golf bag and clubs were his prized possessions.He is preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Joe Dan Plunk. He is survived by his step-mom, Augie Plunk, his two siblings, Vicki Andrews, husband, Rick, Tim Plunk, wife Christy. Nieces: Becky White, husband Billy, Jordan Colacecchi, husband, Michael, Ginny Andrews, Courtney Plunk, and Nephew, Will Plunk. Also, two grandnieces: Annie and Charlotte White.Along with his parents and their siblings, he grew up enjoying family celebrations and holidays with a host of cousins in his east Dallas neighborhood.Terry loved the Lord, Dr. Pepper, Dallas Cowboys, and rolls with butter, in that order. He will be truly missed. Keep the light on Terry! We’ll see you there!A memorial service will be April 17th 3:00 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75243. Reception to follow in the Event Center.We want to thank the whole group at Seasons Hospice at Presbyterian Hospital. Also, thank you to Dr. Barve and her sweet nurse, Karen, who sat with us, cried with us and gave us lots of hugs.
