The Rev Dr. Clem Gordon Sorley Born October 20, 1919 in Las Animas, Colorado; passed away December 19, 2012 at Grace Presbyterian Village South in Dallas, TX. Preceded in death by wife, Marilyn Joy Pittman Sorley. Survived by daughter, Sharon Ann Sorley Parmer and husband, Jimmy of Littlefield, TX; son, Gordon Paul Sorley of Houston, TX; daughter, Debra Ruth Sorley King and husband, David of Welsh, LA; grandchildren, Stephanie Vaught, Garrett Heard, Chris Sorley, Brent Broussard, and Jana Broussard; and 6 great-grandchildren. Clem was a graduate of Paschal High School, Fort Worth TX, and Trinity University, Waxahachie, TX. He received a Doctorate of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago. Clem served as minister of The Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) for 35 years. Memorial service at 3:00 PM, First Presbyterian Church, Downtown Dallas, TX, Saturday, December 22, 2012. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Village, Dallas, TX.
