Mr. Then Tran, age 67, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Garland, Texas. He was born to Mr. Tai Tran and Ms. Ten Thi Tran on September 16, 1954, in Ca Mau, Vietnam. Then leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
He married Mai T. Nguyen November 11, 1976 in Vietnam. He served in a Marines special forces unit from 1972 to 1974. Then dreamt of giving his family new opportunities in America and he took pride in the accomplishments of his children. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing new foods and adventures. He was very proud of his garden and always worked to improve his home for his family.
He was preceded in death by Tai Ngoc Tran (Father) , Hiep Q Tran (Brother), Rung Van Nguyen (Father-in-Law), and Helen Finch (God mother)
He is survived by spouse Mai T. Nguyen, sons Nghia Tran, Thanh Tran, Daniel Tran( Melissa Tran), Donald Tran( Yen Tran), daughter Linda To Parks( Joseph Parks), grandchildren Lily Tran, Courtney Tran, Kaylee Tran, Kara Tran, Alex Tran, Mylien Lancaster, brothers & sisters Tuong Tran, Cuc Tran, Nguyet Tran, Nga Tran, Diep Tran, Dung Tran, Hi Tran, Mai Tran, Bich Tran, Hiep Tran, Henry Finch, Ruby Moore, Stan Finch, Heidi Aukstikalnis, Hope Finch, Tyson Finch, Henry Finch (God father), family/friend Paul Lancaster, Ty Lancaster, Gai Nguyen, Lun Nguyen
Visitation: December 11, 2021 at Restland funeral home 9am-12pm. Please join us after the viewing at our home 6506 Glenmoor Dr. Garland, Tx 75043 for light snacks.

In lieu of flowers, Mai Nguyen will be accepting donations to be sent to the poor and needy in Vietnam.
