Theodore J. Kreatschman's Obituary
KREATSCHMAN, THEODORE J. Ted was born on September 25th, 1914 in Baltimore, MD and passed away on December 19, 2011 in Dallas, TX. Ted was born again on March 23, 1953 upon accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and inviting Him into his heart. Ted was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Doris Jean, after 63 years of marriage. Ted’s salvation was a direct result of her testimony and prayers. Ted is survived by sons, James Daniel of Juneau, AK, Thomas David of Dallas, TX, Timothy Joel of London, England; and sister, Eleanor Lyn of Port St. John, FL. He also has 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Ted did his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and his post graduate studies at Harvard University, Yale University and Southern Methodist University. He is a lifetime member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served his county in the U.S. Air Force for eleven years, participating in World War II and the Korean War, achieving the rank of Major. Ted was a charter member of Grace Bible Church of Dallas since its founding in 1955. He served in many capacities including that of teacher, deacon and elder. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Dallas Theological Seminary for twenty-seven years during which time he served as Chairman of the Board for three years and was charter President of the Dallas Theological Seminary Foundation. Ted was a Certified Public Accountant, having his own firm in Dallas for over 50 years. Burial will be a Restland Memorial Park with a graveside memorial service on Thursday, December 22nd at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials can be made to: Grace Bible Church, 11306 Inwood Rd., Dallas, TX 75225 for missionary support, or Dallas Theological Seminary, 3909 Swiss Ave., Dallas, TX 75204 for student aid.
